These photographs were made from reinacted situations, and are about insularity, rural childhood and light. I have started the series in 2019 in Ibiza, where the soil is red and stated sacred, where the scorpions and vipers do not prosper. Rumour has it that if there were a nuclear attack, the island would be the last shelter on earth. Three archetypes are invited : the divine child, the grand mother, rich of her lullabies, and the magician, both watchman and 'Merlin l’Enchanteur'. Three figures, sometimes blinded by the bright and burning light of the South, sometimes who protect themselves from it, and replay the spirit of the island. A dazzle which also translates the link with the outside world, from the finca, the white house, or with dreams, as the title states Bona Nit, which means good night in catalan.

As valiant defenders of their territory, Pépé, Maria, Margarita, are helped here by some magical creatures, associated with an aquatic or onshore animal bestiary, which feed the myths and the insular utopia. As many acts of resistance of rites and practices, registered in a Story which can move beyond Spain itself, and facing the deletion of comida or little theaters caused by mass tourism.
